Modulr launches MCP connector, enabling rapid integration into its payments automation platform

Modulr’s MCP connector allows AI coding tools to streamline integration into its platform, making it 3x faster to build working prototypes

London, UK | 2 September 2026: Modulr, the payments automation platform built to scale, today announced the public launch of its Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector, an integration that connects AI coding tools directly to Modulr’s platform in real time via its Application Programming Interface (API).

Modulr’s API allows customers to plug directly into its payments automation platform and build its functionality into their own platforms. This new MCP connector utilises AI to cut down the time developers spend reading documentation before writing a first line of code, ultimately enabling them to reach a working prototype up to 3x faster.

The MCP is designed for developers and technical product managers at companies in the discovery and integration phase. Developers using Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, ChatGPT and many more can ask plain-language questions, surface the right endpoints for their use case, generate initial integration scaffolding, and execute API requests against the Modulr sandbox, all without leaving their development environment.

Melek Pirgon, Chief Product Officer, Modulr commented:

“Our MCP connector is built to enable developers to rapidly prototype rather than spend time navigating the complexities of a new integration. Our platform streamlines how businesses move money, and now with AI coding tools and our MCP connector we have extended this to how businesses integrate with us”.
