September 4th, London: Modulr has today announced that it has been named in the 2019 LinkedIn Top Startups list, which ranks the UK’s top 25 startups to work for.

The LinkedIn Top Startups list identifies the 25 hottest startups by looking at factors including employment growth, engagement with the company and its employees, job interest, and the ability to attract top talent. Finally, it is informed by the billions of actions taken by more than 630+ million members on LinkedIn. Modulr, one of 17 new entrants, shares the list with the likes of RevolutClearBank and Bud as top startups in 2019.

Modulr – the youngest company on the list - is a Payments as a Service API platform built for digital businesses that need a faster, easier and more reliable way to move money who’ve traditionally relied upon cumbersome, legacy payment infrastructure.

This latest announcement follows the recent news that Modulr was awarded £10m from the Capability and Innovation Fund, part of the RBS Alternative Remedies Package, last month which Modulr has pledged to match with its own money to transform offerings for SMEs across the UKThe FinTech - which is rapidly scaling - will create a minimum of 64 new high-quality regional jobs within the UK. More than 80% of the newly created roles will be used to scale the FinTech’s existing footprint in Edinburgh.

Based in London, Edinburgh and Dublin, the fast growing FinTech, backed by Blenheim Chalcot and Frog Capital, was founded in January 2016, and has grown rapidly to process over £14bn of transactions since launch on behalf of clients and partners including Sage, Paxport, Liberis and Revolut.

Myles Stephenson, CEO, Modulr, says: Being named as one of the UK’s Top Startups is yet another major endorsement of what we’re doing at Modulr. Since we were founded three years ago, we’ve rapidly expanded our operations in London and Edinburgh, and opened an office in Dublin.

Even though we’re the youngest FinTech on the list, our experienced team is creating a culture that attracts and retains the best talent with a genuine energy that focuses on building quality products. This is evidenced by our most recent win of the £10m BCR grant. This is all with the aim of building the payments infrastructure of the futureanswering the demand from ambitious businesses that need a faster, easier and more reliable way to move money in this instant economy.
