Product Update - January 2026

We’re kicking off 2026 with some big leaps forward at Modulr. We’re entering the U.S. market through a new strategic partnership with FIS, bringing powerful real-time capabilities into a single, scalable platform. We’re removing operational bottlenecks in travel payments with Bulk Card Operations and unlocking smoother European spend with Bulgaria’s move to EUR. We’re also helping you tighten control and reduce manual work with smarter Direct Debit reconciliation and a new Sage Intacct integration that streamlines your AP and reconciliation workflows.

Dive in below to explore what’s new and what’s next.

Modulr FIS-1
Partnership Announcement
Modulr expands to the U.S. through a new partnership with global financial technology leader FIS

Modulr has been selected by FIS to provide critical technology for its Money Movement Hub and provide next-generation payments technology to U.S. financial institutions.

The FIS Money Movement Hub is a cloud-native orchestration platform designed to harmonise the payments ecosystem by integrating major global networks through a single API. It provides a unified point of access to real-time, batch, and cross-border payment rails, enabling financial institutions to deliver faster, more flexible services to their customers.

New features

Travel Portal & API
Bulk Card Operations

We’re introducing a new feature to the Travel Portal. Bulk Card Operations eliminates a major bottleneck for high-volume travel customers like OTAs and Tour Operators. These customers often need to create, amend, or cancel thousands of virtual cards at once, which previously required manual, one-by-one processing or inefficient workarounds.

Bulk Card Operations lets users upload a CSV file via the Modulr portal containing card details and the desired action (create, edit, or delete). The system validates the file and displays the data in a review table, highlighting errors or formatting issues before submission. Users can submit the entire batch or selected rows. Once confirmed, cards are processed sequentially and updated in bulk.

This feature reduces manual effort, improves card detail accuracy, and enables customers to process large volumes safely in the background.

Stay tuned, this feature is coming early Feb!

API - Cards
Bulgaria currency changes for card payments

In line with Bulgaria’s accession to the Eurozone Modulr has successfully completed the conversion of relevant BIN ranges from Bulgarian Lev (BGN) to Euro (EUR), effective 1 January 2026.

From this date:

  • Card transactions in Bulgaria will be processed in Euro only

  • Bulgarian Lev transactions will no longer be supported

This supports a smooth transition to the Euro for cardholders and merchants.

Upcoming changes

API - Direct Debits
Improved Direct Debit reconciliation with new webhook field

Effective March 2nd, 2026, we will be adding the collectionScheduleId (often known as the 'Q' ID) to the DD Collection Status webhook payload for Direct Debit Collections to make it easier to reconcile without additional API calls.

Accounting Integrations
Sage Intacct integration – beta launching February 2026

We’re working towards the launch of a new Sage Intacct integration as part of the Modulr Accounts Payable (AP) platform - and we’re now inviting customers to register your interest in being part of the Beta test group.

With the Sage Intacct integration, you can:

  • Sync bills from Sage Intacct directly into Modulr AP

  • Create and approve payment runs in Modulr

  • Automatically reconcile completed payments back to your accounting ledger

  • Sync vendors, ledgers, and key accounting data to support more of your AP workflow

This integration is designed for customers who already use Sage Intacct and either have Modulr AP today or are looking to upgrade.
