Who is Modulr?

Modulr enables businesses such as Sage, Wagestream, and BrightPay to build payments directly into their own platforms without needing to build complicated payment systems, become regulated themselves or manage the complexities of payment network membership. The FinOps Hub removes a material layer of cost and complexity associated with reconciliation and processing of volume payments. The FinOps Hub operates across a wide range of payment rails, is real time, open 24/7, and is simple to connect to via Modulr’s APIs - transforming the speed, flexibility, resilience and cost of launching and operating embedded payments services.

Modulr is authorised and regulated as an Electronic Money Institution by the FCA (Modulr FS Ltd, FRN: 900573). Modulr Finance B.V. (R182870) is an Authorised Electronic Money Institution, regulated by the De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). So we can issue accounts with sort codes and Euro IBANs. Our accounts access existing payments services – Bacs, CHAPS, Faster Payments, SEPA, Visa and Mastercard – so businesses can receive and make payments easily.

As a directly connected participant to the Faster Payments and Bacs schemes, we are able to hold and settle funds at the Bank of England, meaning greater reliability and security.

All built on a secure platform with multi-factor authentication, activity observation and regular penetration testing.
